Our God is an Awesome God! We had the wonderful opportunity to spend 9 days in Dunlap, Tennessee building a church with Builders for Christ! We saw God's hand at work from the moment we arrived. The church we are building is Ebenezer Baptist Church. The existing building is over 100 years old. God paved the way for our arrival from purchasing the land and selling the parsonage so the church was able to afford building supplies. The slab and outside walls were ready when we arrived. Our BFC team framed ten classrooms, built 6 staircases, built a stage, ran electricity and removed and added a baptism! Our KFC (Kids for Christ) team helped on job site, attended bible study, painted faces, sang at senior citizen center and visited local park. The biggest blessing we received was watching the holy spirit work through the congregation and community. Four youth were baptized Friday night before we left and one youth accepted Jesus traveling home on Saturday. We thank God for the opportunity to serve him. We are already planning for next year!
